Your photographer

Hi, I’m Jane

I moved to Antalya for the light — that soft, golden Mediterranean glow that no filter quite recreates, the kind that turns an ordinary evening on the sand into something worth printing. It shows up twice most days: once in the hour after sunrise, when the beaches are close to empty and the sea sits pale and flat, and again in the hour before sunset, when everything turns amber and every shadow grows long and soft. Overcast days help more than people expect, too — the cloud cover acts like a giant diffuser, softening harsh shadows on faces without losing the warmth in the sky above. I plan almost every session around one of these windows rather than around convenience, because a photo taken at midday under a hard Mediterranean sun looks like a different city entirely, and rarely a flattering one.

Most people who book a session say some version of the same thing beforehand: they don’t know how to stand in front of a camera, and they’re worried the photos will look forced. That’s completely normal, and it isn’t something you need to sort out before we meet — sorting it out is my job, during the shoot itself. I never ask anyone to hold a smile or search for a "good side." Instead I give you something to actually do — walk this way, look at each other, tell me about the thing you were just laughing about — so your face is doing something real instead of posing for a camera. The awkward stretch usually lasts about five minutes, right up until you stop noticing I’m there. By the second location, most people have stopped asking whether a shot looked good and started just enjoying the evening.

A session runs more like a rhythm than a fixed schedule. The first few minutes at any location are always slower, giving everyone a moment to settle in and get used to being photographed, and the pace only picks up once you’ve relaxed into it. Mini sessions stay at a single spot, so that arc happens once and stays short. Classic and Premium bookings move between two or three locations, and each change of scenery works almost like a reset — a fresh burst of energy just as the first spot starts to feel familiar. I never rush the opening minutes, because that’s when you’re still deciding whether to trust the process, and I never rush the closing ones either, since the loosest, most natural frames of the whole shoot tend to turn up right at the end, once nobody is thinking about the camera any more.

Choosing a location depends entirely on who’s in front of the camera, not on a fixed list of favourite spots. A couple wanting something quiet and a little dramatic usually ends up on a Konyaaltı sunset or a rooftop over the old harbour; a family with young children does better somewhere with shade, soft sand and no traffic to manage, which is why Lara and the calmer stretches near Düden come up so often for that group. Kaleiçi’s lanes suit people who want texture and history behind them rather than open sky and sea. Groups staying outside the city — in Kemer, Belek or Side — get the same thinking applied locally, built around whichever nearby beach, headland or old quarter matches the mood they’re after. I ask about your group and your dates before suggesting anywhere, because the right location for six people is rarely the right one for two.

My sessions are unposed and easy — a deliberate style choice, not a lack of direction. We walk, we chat, you laugh at my terrible jokes, and I shoot continuously through all of it rather than stopping every few seconds to arrange a pose — because the photos come out looking like the best evening of your holiday, and that’s usually exactly what it is. The direction I give is mostly about where to look and what to do, never how to hold your face: walk towards me, turn to each other, chase your kid down the sand. Actual posing — the stiff, chin-down, shoulders-back kind — barely comes up, maybe for one or two portrait frames near the end of a session, and even those are quick. Everything else is just you, doing something, while I stay close enough to catch it.

Once the session ends, every photo goes through the same process before it reaches you. I go through the full set first and pick the strongest frames rather than handing over everything straight off the memory card, then edit each one individually for colour, light and skin tone so the gallery feels consistent from the first image to the last. That editing pass is the main reason delivery takes a week rather than a day — it’s hand work, not a filter applied to the whole batch at once. You get a private online gallery once it’s ready, with the full-resolution files included and nothing held back for a later upsell. If a shot needs a slightly different crop for Instagram versus printing, that’s easy to sort out afterwards — just say so when the gallery arrives.

Everything about booking runs through WhatsApp, in English, Russian or Turkish, because it’s the one channel that works the same way whether you’re messaging from a hotel room, an airport lounge or the beach an hour before we meet. There’s no form to fill in and no account to create — you send your dates, I confirm a time and location, and we go from there. Replies come within the hour, which matters most in the last day or two before a shoot, when plans shift because of weather or a delayed flight. Switching languages mid-conversation is completely normal too — plenty of couples message partly in English and partly in Russian or Turkish depending on who’s typing, and it’s never once caused a problem. No deposit is asked for until the slot itself is actually confirmed.

FAQ

Good questions, honest answers

How do we get from Antalya airport to the shoot?

Most guests book a private airport transfer — WeCare runs those too, so the same team can meet you at arrivals and get you to your hotel with a fixed price. Ask us on WhatsApp and we will line the transfer up with your photoshoot slot.

How far ahead should we book?

There’s no strict minimum — plenty of guests message us a day or two before their flight and we still find a slot, especially outside peak summer weeks. That said, booking as soon as you have your travel dates gives you first pick of golden-hour times and your preferred location, which matters more in July and August when good slots fill fastest. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we’ll tell you honestly what’s available.

When is the best time for a photoshoot?

The golden hour — roughly the first hour after sunrise or the last two hours before sunset — when the light turns soft, warm and endlessly flattering rather than flat and overhead. Midday sun creates harsh shadows and squinting, which is why these two windows anchor almost every booking on the calendar. Tell us your travel dates and we’ll recommend the exact slot once we’ve checked that day’s sunrise or sunset time.

What should we wear?

Light, flowing fabrics in neutral or warm tones photograph beautifully against the beach, old stone and golden-hour light, while busy patterns and very stiff, structured pieces tend to fight both the setting and the sea breeze. After you book, we send a short style guide with do’s and don’ts for your specific session type, and you’re always welcome to send us photos of your outfits beforehand for a second opinion.

How long does a typical session last?

Mini sessions run around 30 minutes at a single location, Classic runs about an hour with room for an outfit change, and Premium stretches to two hours or more across multiple spots. Weddings and events are priced and timed by the hour instead, since coverage needs vary so much between an elopement and a full-day celebration. We’ll confirm exact timing with you once we know your package and group size.

Can we choose the location, and do you travel to hotels or resorts outside the centre?

Yes to both. You’re welcome to request a specific beach, old-town corner or your own hotel grounds, and we’ll tell you honestly if the light or timing needs adjusting to make it work. We also shoot regularly in Kemer, Belek and Side, all within reach of central Antalya, as well as at resorts along the coast — just mention where you’re staying when you enquire.

Do you photograph babies, young kids and larger multi-generation families?

Absolutely — families make up a large share of our bookings, from a single baby’s first holiday photos to three generations travelling together. We keep the pace playful and shoot in short bursts so young children stay happy rather than being forced to hold still, and we build in a few candid games rather than a stiff line-up. Naps and snack breaks are completely normal to work around.

Is hair and makeup included?

Not as a standard part of any package — sessions focus on the photography itself, and most guests arrive already styled the way they’d like to look. If you’d like to arrange hair or makeup beforehand, we’re happy to talk through timing around it on WhatsApp so your slot lines up with an appointment, though booking the stylist itself is on your side.

What if it rains?

Antalya gives us 300+ sunny days a year, so it comes up less often than you might expect, but if the weather does turn we simply reschedule to the next free slot within your stay, or move the session to a covered old-town lane or hotel location instead. There’s no fee for rescheduling and no charge for the change of plan — we just find a time that works.

What if we’re running late, or our flight is delayed?

Message us as soon as you know — a short delay is rarely a problem, since golden hour gives us roughly an hour either side of the ideal moment and we can simply shift the start time to match. If a flight delay pushes things much further, we’ll look at rescheduling within your stay rather than rushing a session that’s lost its light. The earlier you tell us, the more options we have.

How and when do we get the photos?

Within 1 week you receive a private online gallery containing every edited photo from your session, downloadable in full resolution with print rights included from the moment it arrives — no separate charge for the high-resolution files later. Premium bookings can add priority delivery in 4 days instead, and we’ll always confirm the expected delivery date with you when you book.

How many photos do we actually get?

It depends on the package: Mini includes a smaller curated set from one location, Classic covers roughly double that across two looks, and Premium delivers the largest set across multiple locations or outfit changes. Every photo in your gallery is individually edited rather than delivered straight off the memory card, so the number reflects our best selects, not everything we shot. Exact counts for your package are confirmed on WhatsApp before you book.

Can we use the photos on social media?

Yes — every gallery comes with full print and usage rights, so posting to Instagram, sending to family or printing them at home are all completely fine. Classic and Premium galleries include some frames already cropped vertically, which helps for Stories and Reels without you needing to crop anything yourself. If you’d like specific crops for a particular platform, just ask when the gallery arrives.

How do we pay?

Nothing is asked for while we’re still working out dates — no booking fee, and no payment simply to check availability. Once we’ve agreed a date, time and location on WhatsApp, a small deposit secures the slot and the balance is due on the day; cash or card both work, in whichever of dollars, euros or lira suits you. Any optional extras, such as the flying dress rental, an extra location or priority delivery, are agreed upfront, so nothing is sprung on you afterwards.

Antalya photographer for vacation photoshoots that actually look like you

Searching for an antalya photographer who understands what a holiday photoshoot should actually feel like? WeCare Photoshoot is a vacation photographer team working across the whole city, led by Jane — a photographer in Antalya who shoots in English, Russian and Turkish so nothing gets lost between "can you take a photo of us" and the final gallery. Whether you landed here looking for an antalya photoshoot for two, a family session on the beach, or something more dramatic like a surprise proposal, the brief is always the same: real light, real locations, real emotion, no stiff posing in front of a stranger with a camera.

Jane has spent enough seasons shooting this coastline to know it works the way a local knows it, not the way a tourist map shows it. That matters more than gear or filters: a photoshoot in Antalya lives or dies on timing, and knowing which street is empty at 7am or which beach faces the sunset changes the whole result. Sessions are relaxed by design — you walk, you talk, you laugh at something one of you said, and the camera catches that instead of a countdown-and-smile pose. Most guests say the shoot itself was the easiest, least awkward part of planning their trip.

A typical WeCare Photoshoot session has almost nothing in common with a stiff studio sitting. There is no forced eye-line, no "chin down, shoulders back" routine, and no waiting around while lights get adjusted. Jane directs quietly and briefly — a suggestion here, a small prompt there — then lets you exist in the location while she works around you. Couples end up walking hand in hand, kids run off mid-frame, and grandparents get caught mid-laugh instead of mid-blink. The goal of every antalya photoshoot is photos that look like a moment you lived, not a moment you performed.

This is a full-service studio, not a single specialist working one angle. The site is built around specific shoot types, each with its own page and its own approach: couple and love-story sessions, family photoshoots spanning three generations, surprise proposal and engagement photography, honeymoon shoots, solo and portrait sessions, maternity photoshoots, hotel and resort sessions, guided photo tours of the old town, and flying-dress shoots on rooftops and beaches. All of them share the same photographer, the same editing style and the same simple WhatsApp booking flow, so browsing from one shoot type to another feels like one studio, not ten different vendors.

Location is half of what makes an antalya photoshoot work, and the city gives Jane a genuinely wide range to choose from. Konyaaltı beach delivers golden-hour light with the Beydağları mountains behind the water; Kaleiçi old town offers Ottoman balconies, bougainvillea and stone alleyways for a more editorial look; Lara's open sand suits a relaxed resort feel, and Düden waterfalls give a dramatic, cliffside backdrop unlike anything else in the region. Kemer, Belek and Side extend the range further along the coast for guests staying outside the city centre, while Hadrian's Gate, the old harbour, the clock tower square and hotel rooftops round out the shortlist for couples who want something more specific.

Packages are simple on purpose, because a holiday photoshoot shouldn't need a spreadsheet to book. Mini is $39 for a 30-minute session at one location with 25 edited photos — enough for a quick session between excursions. Classic is $79 for a full hour across two locations with 50 edited photos, the package most couples and families choose. Premium is $109 for two hours including sunset across three locations with 70 edited photos, built for guests who want the fullest coverage of their trip. Every package includes professional editing, a private online gallery and full print rights — nothing is held back or upsold afterward.

Speed matters as much as style when you're only in Antalya for a few days. Every WeCare Photoshoot package delivers fully edited photos within 1 week, which is fast enough that most guests have their gallery before they've even flown home. There's no waiting a month to see if the photos were worth the shoot — you get a private online gallery, full rights to print or share however you like, and no surprise second invoice for "high-res" versions later.

Booking a photographer in Antalya directly, instead of through a marketplace or a hotel concierge desk, means you're talking to the person actually holding the camera, not a booking agent relaying your request. Message WeCare Photoshoot on WhatsApp and you'll typically hear back within the hour, in whichever of English, Russian or Turkish is easiest for you. There's no deposit required until your slot is actually confirmed, so you're never paying upfront for a booking that might not fit your itinerary. That directness is also why the location, timing and shoot type can be worked out in a single conversation instead of a form and a wait.

This kind of vacation photographer antalya visitors return to book again isn't chasing volume — it's built around one photographer who knows the coastline, three languages that cover almost every guest who lands here, and a short list of packages that don't need explaining twice. If you're also arranging airport transport for the same trip, WeCare's sister service handles private Antalya airport transfers, but the photoshoot side stands entirely on its own.

If you want an antalya photographer who treats a 30-minute holiday session with the same care as a two-hour Premium shoot, this is the studio built for that. Message WeCare Photoshoot on WhatsApp with your dates, tell us which beach, ruin or rooftop caught your eye — or which shoot type fits your trip, from a couple photoshoot to a family session to a flying-dress shoot at sunset — and we'll build the rest of the Antalya photoshoot around it.
