A photographer in Side works with a backdrop most of the coast can't match: the Temple of Apollo's marble columns standing right at the water's edge, framed by the sea behind them. At sunset the stone turns gold and the columns silhouette against the sky — it's the single most-requested shot for a Side photoshoot.

Beyond the temple, Side's old town is a working Roman-era street grid — narrow lanes, ancient theatre walls and harbour views that give a session texture beyond "beach photos." We usually start here before the light gets low, then move toward the water as sunset approaches.

Side also has some of the region's longest sandy beaches, which suit families who want a simpler, relaxed set alongside the ruins — kids running in the shallows, a wide horizon, none of the crowds you'll find right at the temple steps at peak hour.
